Introduction:
On 06th January, 2024, Ashadeep B.Ed. College organized a thought-provoking event titled “Save Girl Child” with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of protecting and nurturing the girl child in our society. The event was organized by the college administration in collaboration with students and faculty members.
Objective:
The primary objective of the event was to shed light on the challenges faced by the girl child in various spheres of life, promote gender equality, and encourage collective efforts to create a safe and supportive environment for girls to thrive.
Event Highlights:
- Inauguration and Welcome Speech:
The event commenced with a formal inauguration, which included a welcome speech by Principal. The welcome speech emphasized the significance of the “Save Girl Child” initiative and set the tone for the rest of the event.
2. Awareness Sessions:
Our professor Archana Ma’am has presented a PPT to aware the students about the importance of girl child, Causes of Female Foeticide, Opinion of Parents on girl child, etc.
- Panel Discussions:
Engaging panel discussions involving both students and faculty members were organized to encourage open dialogue on the challenges faced by girls in our society. The discussions focused on practical solutions and initiatives that could be implemented at the individual and community levels.
4. Skit Performances:
To add a creative and expressive touch to the event, students presented skit performances that conveyed powerful messages about gender equality and the importance of nurturing the potential of every girl child.
5. Poster Exhibition:
A poster exhibition was organized, showcasing impactful visuals and messages related to the theme of saving the girl child. Students were encouraged to create posters that reflected their understanding and commitment to the cause.

The event concluded with a pledge ceremony, where participants, including students, faculty, and guests, pledged their commitment to actively promote and support the well-being of the girl child.
Conclusion:
The “Save Girl Child” event at Ashadeep Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya was a resounding success in achieving its objective of raising awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the well-being of the girl child. The enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and guests reflected a collective commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable society.
