A free health checkup was organized in our B.Ed. College for all the students and staff to spread awareness about health check-up and maintaining a healthy life . The program started at 10 a.m. with the introductory speech given by our respected Principal sir and head of the doctor’s team which came to our school. By 10.30 am students were asked to make a line and get their height and weight checked to calculate BMI (body mass index) which explains whether the person is unhealthy or not. The student whose BMI was 19.5 which comes under normal range. By 1 pm every student with staff got themselves checked for BMI, blood report and other health conditions if any. Students were advised some type of food and exercises by the doctors to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It was advised to get their eyes checked up for spectacles. The class had the maximum number of healthy students and thus they were appreciated by the doctors and Principal sir as well. Students were happy to know about so many things which they can learn from doctors. They hope their school organizes these types of campaigns each year for a healthy student count and less absentees. Every College should organize these kinds of campaigns to ensure healthy environment in college. The program ended with an overall report by the doctors about health of students and teachers which said all were healthy and can improve. College thanked all the doctors and nurses for their time and consideration for the College.
