An industrial visit to “Mechtech Engineering Pvt Ltd Bldg no 1, Dhuri Industrial Estate No-2, Near Saibaba Mandir Sativali Vasai (East)” was successfully organized by the Ashadeep Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya on Wednesday, 13/12/2023. Bunch of students and some faculty member Archana Ma’am Vandana Save, Seema Singh, Kamlesh Kumar, Chhabiram Singh and Mable Ma’am visited to Dhuri Industry to understand how the production activity, management process, technology works and to acquire knowledge and experience. We all students went to Dhuri Industry by our private public source. We reached the venue at 11.15 am. After the security check, the students were taken to introduction room and given a briefing of rules and guidelines to be followed by everyone inside the industry. We were divided into two batches and briefly explained about the process and operations undertaken by them and explained about importance of plastics, applications, various polymer materials and recycling of plastics to the students. In addition, he elucidated the various processes involved in it with workflow chart and also, highlighted the career opportunities and growth in the polymer areas. Students were divided into two batches, and they were taken to tool room, compression moulding unit, blow moulding unit, injection moulding unit and testing unit. These were the following points which they covered while explaining it Industrial visits are usually the first point of interaction between a student and a live working industry. The students learn about the latest technology trend and make up their minds about their future job or area of interest. –
1. Various plastic materials and their applications
2. Different moulding machine for plastic processing
3. How to maintain a thickness of plastic material
4. Feeding of plastic granules into the machine
5. Curing time of various plastics
6. Various temperatures maintained in screw type compression moulding machine
The industrial visit to Dhuri Industry enriched our knowledge and experience and provided a great opportunity to learn practically through demonstration, interaction, exchange of Information and Employment practices which will help the students in their further career growth.
