Independence Day was celebrated at our college. The time of celebration was 8:00am. The highlights of the program were as follows:
Flag Hoisting:
The Independence Day celebration commenced with the unfurling of the Indian national flag by Asha and Mable Ma’am .The flag hoisting ceremony was accompanied by the singing of the national anthem by all present, evoking a deep sense of pride and unity.
- Cultural Performances:
Students from different grades presented a variety of cultural performances. These included patriotic songs, dance performances, skits, and recitations of famous speeches by Indian leaders. These performances beautifully showcased the rich cultural diversity and unity of our nation.
- Speech:
Asha ma’am delivered an inspiring speech that emphasized the significance of Independence Day, the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, and the responsibility of the youth in shaping the future of India. The speech motivated and reminded everyone of the values and ideals that our nation upholds.
- Fancy Dress Competition:
A fancy dress competition was organized for the younger students, with the theme “Indian Freedom Fighters.” Students dressed up as iconic figures from India’s struggle for independence, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, and Sarojini Naidu. This activity helped them learn about our history in a fun and engaging way.
- Art and Craft Exhibition:
An art and craft exhibition was held in the school premises, showcasing the creative talents of our students. The exhibits included paintings, drawings, and craftwork related to the theme of independence, highlighting the importance of artistic expression in promoting patriotism.
- Distribution of Sweets:
As a gesture of spreading joy and unity, sweets were distributed among the students and staff. This tradition symbolizes the sweetness of freedom and the importance of sharing happiness with one another.
